Obsinema is an underground talent based out of western Canada.

The name ‘Obsinema’ derives from a combination of the words ‘Obsidian’ and ‘Cinema’ and translates to 'dark reflection' or 'black mirror' , relaying a fondness for introspection and reflection as well as the silver screen.

He has worked with a plethora of established Canadian artists including Manila Grey, Harm Franklin, Boslen, Roy Woods, Anders and FRVRFriday.

Influenced by artists such as Justin Timberlake, Jeremih and The Weeknd, his soft-spoken sound delves beyond Pop/R&B and into the realms of Neo-Soul, Euro Dance, and Hip-Hop.

Obsinema’s sound profile is curated to conjure sleek, cinematic imagery that evokes a sense of nostalgia and familiarity within the listener. His debut mixtape ‘CHROMECORE’ is slated for independent release in the summer of 2025.
